With your help, AYCP El Sargento (‘The Colectivo’) seeks to defend public access and the conservation of our public beaches.
Since at least the 1980s, Playa Agua Caliente has been a pristine public beach, accessible through a public road that allowed residents and visitors to reach and use the Federal Maritime Zone (ZOFEMAT) and adjacent federal lands. Families from La Paz gathered there for major holidays and public events.
The public road is formally registered as a public road on both the B.C.S. and Federal (RAN) registries, as confirmed in INEGI’s catalog of public roads. For many years, the public road was maintained by the local Delegation and, more recently, by the Municipality of La Paz, which formally adopted the B.C.S. registry as the formal registry for the Municipality. Since 2021, private developers have been trying to take this road away from the public.

Yes. AYCP El Sargento A.C. is organized as a nonprofit civil association committed to the conservation and protection of public access to the beaches. The Colectivo has applied for formal recognition as a charitable organization—a “donataria”—which application is currently pending before Hacienda.
Absolutely. Anyone who wishes to support the defense of Playa Agua Caliente and the conservation of public resources throughout La Ventana Bay is welcome to join or donate.
